Thoughout November, Pied Piper worked to collect donations for a local food bank as part of a collective group-wide initiative to spread some joy this Christmas.
Parents and families of the Nursery, located in the Shawlands area of the city, donated dried and tinned goods alongside festive treats across the month in order to support other local families in December.
Alongside donations left by kind-hearted parents, the Pied Piper team were able to ‘top-up’ the goods, thanks to a monetary donation from CC Nurseries, with some much-loved Christmas favourites from selection boxes to crackers and more.
Donations were collected on Monday 6 December by a member of the team from the Trussell Trust for Rutherglen and Cambuslang.
Our Nursery Manager, Carrie Lloyd said: “We’re so proud of our Nursery family for digging deep this Christmas and helping others at what can be a difficult time.
“It is part of our vision and values that our children learn more about their communities and the wider world. We look forward to continuing to work within our local communities in 2022.”
The Nursery regularly partners with local businesses across the year, building a special relationship with neighbouring residential home, Hector House, as well as taking the children on outings to visit other businesses in the area.
